A couple of weeks ago I was listening to some recordings of Amiri Baraka and wondered what his work would sound like over hip hop production. I also think it's interesting how the humor and satire poetry he created nearly 40 years ago can be so relevant today. This is a 1978 recording of Baraka's piece entitled Dope, set to music by me.
